Welcome to Burg Uda

In the heart of the Lower Rhine region, nestled among the picturesque Niers meadows near Grefrath-Oedt, rises the mighty tower of Burg Uda. This medieval moated castle, built around 1308 by Count Dietrich Luf III von Kleve and first documented in 1313 as "Castrum Ude," looks back on an eventful history spanning more than 700 years.

Today, 123 steps lead up to the viewing platform of the preserved castle tower, offering a breathtaking view over the Lower Rhine landscape. The castle is lovingly maintained by the Heimatverein Oedt e.V. and open to the public.
